| Green To Continue With Motorguard Motorsport |
Motorguard Motorsport posted Wednesday April 15, 2009.
After a fairly successful debut with the Motorguard Motorsport team in the Woodstock Bourbon Twin City Easter Challenge last weekend, South Australian hot shoe Trevor Green has agreed to continue behind the wheel of the team's #95 Maxim racer and will line up in Saturday night's Comp Cams event at Archerfield Speedway.
Green, who brought the car home in seventh spot in Brisbane and fourth in Toowoomba for fifth overall in points across the two nights of the Challenge, will no doubt be a welcome addition to the field on Saturday night while his presence in the car will help the Motorguard Motorsport team in the Series' Car Owners Championship.
Team owner John Weatherall was full of praise for Trevor following last weekend and had no hesitation in inviting him to stay on for this week's event.
"Trevor is one of the top drivers in the country and also one of the most competitive drivers we've had in our cars through the years." John explained.
"We could tell right from the time he got here last Friday that he has a burning desire to win races. I'm sure it was tough for him to get into an unfamiliar car and work with us for the first time, especially against the level of competition he was up against, but he did himself justice with the results he got given those circumstances."
"Now that he has a couple of races under his belt with our team, he'll probably feel a little more comfortable this weekend. We're very happy with the job he did for us over Easter and that's why we asked him to stay on for this week as well." John added.
With just a handful of races left before the winter break, Green joins Mike Carber, Garry Brazier and Ben Wright as the fourth driver on the Motorguard Motorsport roster this season.
