Brazier, Wright To Steer Motorguard Motorsport Maxims To Season End

With just over a month left until the 2007/08 racing season comes to a close, the Motorguard Motorsport team have confirmed that both Garry Brazier and Ben Wright will steer the team's #95 Maxim sprintcars at the remaining Qld events on their race schedule.

Heading into the ninth Round of the Comp Cams Series for this season, the Motorguard Motorsport sprintcar team were still in contention for the Car Owners Championship and with their regular Series driver Garry Brazier in Sydney chasing a fifth national championship win in what is now the abandoned running of the 2008 Australian Sprintcar Title, they needed someone to fill the seat and earn them some points. American Mike Carber rounded out his 2007/08 Australian racing tour with the Motorguard Motorsport team with a solid eighth place finish in the Wanless World Series Sprintcars Championship Finale at Titan Garages Brisbane International Speedway on Saturday night January 12, the Pennsylvania hot-shoe bringing the team's USA 1 Maxim home inside the top ten after fifty grueling laps of the 1/4 mile raceway.

Twenty year old Michael Carber from Pipersville Pennsylvania earned himself a new set of Australian fans in an exciting debut for the Motorguard Motorsport team at Brisbane International Speedway on Boxing Night, storming his way through the pack during the Feature event to finish fourth in his first run in the team's USA #1 Maxim.

It's been a dream start to the 2007/08 speedway season for Garry Brazier and the Motorguard Motorsport team, the in-form pairing posting Feature race wins in Mackay and Brisbane through September and October and adding to that list with victory in the Charlton 5000 sprintcar event in Toowoomba on Saturday night November 3. The victory was their fourth trip to the top step of the podium from just five starts since the season kicked off in Qld on September 21/22.
